Thursday, May 30th Grade 1 CommUNITY Day Parade Performance @ 10:00 in the BCIS Gym. Unit 9 Addition Within 100 Place Value & Comparing 2 Digit Numbers
In this unit students will use place value to represent 2 digit numbers. Students will compare two digit numbers with words and symbols, greater than <, less than >, and equal to =. Students will use mental math to find 10 more than a 2 digit number. Students will use place value to add 2 digit numbers and multiples of 10. Students will add 2 digit to 2 digit numbers without regrouping: using place value and an open number line. Students will use an open number line and regrouping to add 2 digit to 1 digit numbers. Students will use regrouping to add 2 digit to 2 digit numbers.

Have your child read the books in their bag multiple times this week. Have them complete any spelling/grammar practice sheets. Please record all books read during the week on the reading log. Book Bags MUST be returned on Friday's so we can choose new books for your child for the following week.
